A little bit of levity is an aid to keeping ones sanity in the toxic swill that this often becomes. I am alas well versed in experiencing the effects of toxic swill at close quarters, yet the sanity is more or less intact. I'll just go get a second opinion on that though, just talk amongst yourselves while I get a second opinion . . .

Another communication from the NTM Executive Board to mission members:

"NTM EB member Bill Hurley will be missed

As a Board, we have appreciated the many who have expressed their concern for the Hurley family and also for our EB team since the death of Bill Hurley, our friend and co-worker. For those interested, his memorial service was recorded.

Bill was a valuable member of our team who provided local church perspective. He was steady, full of integrity and dedicated to missions. Just a week and half before he left his home, Bill spent time at both Waukesha and Jackson on an EB project.

No one knows what caused Bill to leave unexpectedly or to take his own life. It was completely out of character and there were no apparent warning signs. We will miss him and will have a hard time finding someone of his quality to replace him on the Board.

We are very grateful for your prayers. Please continue to pray for Bill’s family and continue to pray for the EB as we seek the Lord’s direction and the Lord’s enabling in all He has put before us.

Oh I do hope that this modicum of acknowledgement and sympathy has come from a genuine heart and not because the words of an Agnostic MK have pricked the consciences of hardened hearts.
But given previous occurrences, we can rejoice that our words of wisdom are being read, at the least
