Mosquito buzzed
In Poetic Rap
While Aussie roared
With chainsaw tap

And the best thing
Oh Green Eggs and Ham
We now know
Rhyme we can

Sam's an Eagle
So that must be you
I'm a Kiwi
Through and through

Eagles soar
Oh lucky feathered friends
But my attempts to fly
Meet disastrous ends

I put on helmet
Googles too
Then run and jump
And shout Whoo hoo

I have great faith
That I will fly
Then I crash
And have a cry

Am I jealous
God made me such
Is watching Eagles
Far to much

Oh no, oh no
Kiwis are special too
They dig up worms
And make Crossview stew

And everyday I'm thankful
As on terra firm I do lurkey
That I was not born
A Christmas Turkey

Up in the big blue sky
Who can offer explanation
Why this Kiwi bird can't fly


It's all right for you up there
Whizzing above snow and rain
But I'm getting my feet and feathers wet
And suffering so much pain

I'm feeling sorry for myself
And my little house is all wet
I'm looking up into the sky
And thinking this Kiwi you do forget

You're busy doing high fives
And hugging in mid air
While I'm stuck down on the earth
Wallowing in my own despair

Hang on Bemused the Kiwi
Listen to yourself
Pick up your own advice
And live life off the shelf

The writing came easy,
But all rhymes turned out cheezy,
