I have chosen the name NowAware because after years of lies and hypocrisy and feeling I was the square peg trying to fit in to the round holed world of Ntm, I now see the truth. It is horrible to realize that an organization who says they want to teach the gospel of good news to the world has actually been an instrument of pain and abuse to their very members and their children. I am so sorry to hear of your experience Iwillflyagain with your Grandad. Ntm robbed you of your relationship with him, just as they have destroyed so many other's lives and relationships. I choose to stand and believe that God has seen and heard all the mistreatments and He will deal justly with Ntm. Now I realize that it is my responsibility to make others aware of the rampant abuse Ntm has committed and the gross stronghold the leaders still have over their members. I am asking God to bring healing and hope to the many who have suffered at Ntm's hands.

I remember the feeling that you described
That "I must be bad."
Even as adults, we were beginning to wonder who we were!
But then we did not hear similar words from ANYBODY else we knew.
We were encouraged so much by our friends.
On 2 continents.
How we rise up again will be an individual thing.
That's why I stay here---
To witness and be a part of the healing that is so needed.

A group that is so good at making their victims think they are the ones in the wrong is practicing brainwashing, mind control, whatever you want to call it.

The only difference between this group and a classic cult is that we were all in it and they use words like God, Jesus, Tribes, . . . .

Otherwise it is just the same old thinking and control that every other cult has.
