For me, 2012 has been The Year of the Unexpected.

My wish for 2013 would be that it might be The Year of the Expected, Hoped For, and Deserved.

May survivors of abuse find peace and healing. And may perpetrators and enablers of child abuse be brought to justice, and finally learn that God really was watching, He really does know, and He truly is on the side of the oppressed.

THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE YEAR WHEN THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN!

We weren't able to see it as we only have free tele but my siblings recorded it and my daughter is buying me a dvd so will see it soon. I guess HGTV had the cameras on her quite a bit. Just an interesting insert, there was a blind flute player that had a guide dog. I support guide dogs with any extra $ I have. I pray this is a New Year that finds NTM accepting full responsibility. Full stop.

Now there is a thought, is there such a thing as a "Spiritual Guide Dog", for leading the Spiritually blind through their darkness?

Probably wouldn't work, would just be easier if they opened their eyes and ears .

I might put a Dingo on NTM and see how that works. However, from what I understand, Guide Dogs lead so their subject will stay away from danger. Guide dogs just might work for NTM. The Bible tells us to be Berean Christians, not followers of man. I have never served with NTM so speaking as an outsider it seems NTM wants followers of men not of Christ. We were with ABWE and the system is very similar. So NTM says they have changed. Well, in that change they should clean up their past or it means nothing. That should be NTM aspiration for 2013. Full stop.

NTM, what are your aspirations for 2013?

From where I sit, it would appear denial and survival are two of their aspirations, Maire.

Same as last year.

The Titanic still bobs on the surface of the deep, unforgiving ocean. The lights are still on. The band is still playing. There is no longer any forward movement of the once-great ship, but most passengers aren't even aware of that.

No life jackets have been donned. I've seen a few crew members furtively sneak over the side and swim to safety. But I don't think they tried to alert the others. They were just relieved to get away.

There is still a huge gaping hole in the hull, where I can see it. It is still called Tambo. There are numerous other holes too. The one I didn't see a year ago is called Panama, but I can see it now.

The passengers dancing in the ball room have not seen the holes. Those of us out in the other boats, where there is safety, have been yelling through our bull horns till we are hoarse, trying to alert those on the ship, but it feels pointless, since no one answers from the Titanic.

Back at port, hundreds of thousands of Titanic fans still believe it is the greatest ship ever built. They continue to send their best and brightest young people to board the listing vessel. They wire millions of dollars every year to maintain the ship, keep its brass brightly polished, and supply the passengers with lavish food and drink.

What a travesty.

In an entire year, there has been very little change in what I am seeing, from my vantage point. I still think the ship will sink. But it didn't happen in 2012, and it may not happen in 2013 either.
