Remember this.....Christians today are extremely good at living in denial....I believe we have lost the battle....the thing to do now is put out the truth so that future victims can be prevented.!! I will still consider this action to be successful if child abuse is prevented.......Vetting is the key to future missionaries....but even so vetting is hard because of of the cleverness of the terrorist abuser......Ron Lotz was a good example of this because not even the good Christians would call him out giving him a 30 year reign of terror...sad...at 13 years old I knew what was happening was evil but no one that I know of would shut him down....therefore this could easily be repeated just like the holocaust in Germany 1938-1945. Cleaver is cleaver and Zealots are cleaver.!! Once deniers are alowed to continue they they repeat their mistakes....because living in denial is not Christian.....and they won't confess their sin and get right with God....Deniers of child abuse are committing a grave sin against God..!! |

You are right, Scatterbrained. Vetting at the level that groups like Ethnos360 claim to now do is not at all a guarantee that child abuse won't happen. Applicants can lie on the answers to questions that are designed to detect dangerous persons, and the mission would not be able to detect it. In addition, physical and emotional brutality toward children is actually expected and normal in Christian fundamentalist circles. And spiritual abuse? Well, that just falls under the category of "train up a child in the way he should go". |
