The answer is simple, it's what I would call faulty logic, with a touch of arrogance thrown in and it works like this:
There is a verse in the Bible that says something like "All things happen for good for them that love the Lord".
Every Triber loves the Lord, right? Yes of course, that is the whole point of their work,to share the Love of the Lord that they have, to even question this is heresy.
Therefore everything that happens, happens for a reason, because either God made it happen, or God allowed it to happen. i.e. if a mysterious donor gives $$$ then God is delivering blessings and that is good because my needs are being met e.t.c. But when something bad happens, then a reason has to be found, because nothing happens without a divine purpose. So if a little child is raped, then this is God testing someone elses faith, with the purpose of strengthening it. If it was someone within our group and it reflects badly upon the group, then God is strengthening the group by placing trials and tribulations in the road to His glory. Of course it is o.k. to express some sorrow or compassion, but then quickly back to business and don't dare question God, or those that represent Him, because He and they know why this happened. Anyone who questions this maxim, is "in error", or not "Walking with the Lord".
Therefore:
God will take are of any victim, there is no need for us to involve ourselves to much. God will take care of any offender, we just disassociate ourselves from them, because they were "not walking with the Lord" when they offended. -If however the offender is in a useful role and a bit of a confession occurs, then absolution can be granted, because hey presto they are back in the fold and we just don't mention it again. Anyone who questions what is going on, is disloyal to God and therefore to Triber mentality. This is a serious breach of faith and regarded as worse than any offence that has occurred.
Well that's my offering of an answer to this question, based on decades of observation. But I could be wrong, after all I'm just a human with those big doubts about faith, theology and God.
