can you bring up the GRACE recommendations for Scott Ross after the Fanda school investigation? What did GRACE have to say about Scott Ross' qualities? integrity? and care of children?

NTM should acknowledge the work of Scott Ross in raising awareness of child abuse within NTM as well as his work in developing a child protection protocol within NTM. At the same time, Scott Ross failed to adequately investigate and respond to the Fanda abuse scandal. Several MKs expressed a lack of confidence in Scott Ross's ability to handle this matter for the future. Accordingly, GRACE recommends Scott Ross be permanently removed from any and all work and/or responsibilities relating to any form of child abuse matters within New Tribes Mission. This shall be evidenced by a written notice signed by the NTM Executive Committee. The removal notice must be delivered to Scott Ross, must be posted on the member section of the NTM website for 6 months, and must be provided to Fanda MKs."

And were these recommendations followed through?

The question of how this recommendation has been heeded might depend on how literal one is in interpreting the words.

As far as I can tell, Scott Ross has not taken an active, visible lead in "child abuse matters" in NTM since the publishing of the Fanda report.

I do know though, that Scott was instrumental in Pat Hendrix being picked as the first coordinator of IHART. They knew each other previously in another "child abuse matter" context.

And now, the connection between Scott and the second coordinator of IHART, Theresa Sidebotham, is quite clear.

But I would not argue with Scott regarding the interpretation of words in a recommendation.

After all, he is the attorney. And I am not.

In other words, someone who was found to have not acted appropriately in an independent investigation (GRACE), has now handpicked who will head the "investigation" into further fields, including the one where he spent time and it is well known has a history of considerable abuse.

I think the conclusion is rather obvious. The whole matter has been rigged by someone who wants the "investigation" run with his control. The question is then, why these desperate measures?

Might I humbly suggest that it is all about control. In other words this is not an investigation but a sham that will be a information gathering exercise, to be used for the legal enterprises of NTM, not the serving of justice for victims.

Does this mean that all the information and victim's names are now in the hands of the lawyer and sits on the side of NTM. Man that makes me mad and it isn't fair. We weren't talking straight to NTM for a reason.. Wow, Not good for any of us. Independent??? Right. we are not safe

I would assume all information gathered so far is now in the hands of the new IHART coordinator, yes.

I don't know how the "hand-over" happened, but I would expect it included the transcripts of all interviews conducted in the past 3 1/2 years being turned over from Pat Hendrix to Theresa Sidebotham.
