SIL International now has a Child Safety Team who visits any person who reports to any SIL member in authority, that they experienced child abuse while within SIL anywhere in the world. The Child Safety Team is affiliated with other mission organisations. Each mission contributes members to the organisation who are then trained in receiving reports of child abuse, and investigating those reports, and delivering their findings.
This group that SIL is a part of would be the Child Safety and Protection Network, often mentioned here as CSPN.
Co-founded by Scott Ross, legal counsel for NTM, and good friend of Theresa Sidebotham, who now heads up IHART, or the Independent (cough, cough) Historical Allegations Review Team (IHART previously stood for Independent Historical
Abuse Review Team ... note the name change).
