Got an update from Pii and their final report will be forthcomingg in the next week weeks. They claim heaps more info since their last update and 15 August, 2015 so I suppose that is to justify the length of the investigation. Sorry to be cynical but does that mean more $ in their pocket as well? Dr. Ketcham is well into his middle eighties so since he was one of the good ole boys maybe they are hoping (you know what I mean). The more he is exposed the more they are exposed. Full stop.

Will do. We hear occasionally from a pastor who has ABWE missionaries want meetings so emails my husband for more info since he has written extensively about their cover up. Full stop.

No news for the victims of ABWE and Dr. Donn William Ketcham. I reckon when the investigation is complete it will be a bunch of words in the line of how wonderful we are now looking after our children. Full stop.

It is astounding to me how these missions dra-a-a-g out the conclusion of these investigations and just can't seem to wrap things up. I think their theory is that people will get tired of tuning in, and really won't pay attention to the eventual lame results. NTM is doing this, ABWE is doing this, and there is a third investigation I know of, of abuse long ago at a school in SE Asia, and CSPN is doing the same foot dragging finish in that one. It's like they just don't want to get to the finish line ... maybe they think everyone will just go home.

But there are some of us who refuse to leave ... we will keep waiting, and we will keep calling attention to this obviously intentional tactic, which was no doubt suggested by the attorneys of these missions.

Grrrr ....

Or until the offender kicks the bucket and then hey presto, no need for any investigation, just a hero's send off for the faithful.

Makes a bit of a mockery of the missionary ethic me thinks.

I could write a book on mission ethics from our years being with ABWE. Full stop.

Well that would be a short book, not much ethics I see.

I feel sorry for the poor genuine missionary who is doing what they are supposed to be, where they are supposed to be. But there are decreasing number of those because so many are living off the pigs back no where near where they should be, pretending to do something useful and getting paid well to do stuff all!

Donors ripped off.
Indigenous people ripped off.
God ripped off.

No ethics at all!

Is anyone else wondering if it is time the despicable missions were shut down and just the genuine few left to get on with the job?

Actually, there's a lot of ethics in missions. It's just not good ethics.
