Child abuse can be so very devastating, in a lifelong way, that I really don't know what is ever "enough". This is why we continue to speak out, trying to help people understand how vitally critical it is to protect the children of today, so that this lifelong pain is not the future that awaits them. Please, never again, is my plea.
I am glad you did feel you were listened to, and heard, by the people who travelled to Australia to interview you. I am very sorry SIL is not helping you as much as they should, with your expenses.
And most of all, I am very sorry you experienced abuse as a child in the Philippines. That is where I raised my own children, so your story feels close to home for me.
Bagabag and Aritao .... not many kilometers separated those two MK schools. It is sad to know the two were similar in other ways as well. Places which, for some MKs, were neither safe nor happy.
