Courageous, that is not a ramble at all. That is your heart speaking. I love your ministry and I love that your children go with you. What precious life lessons they will learn. To look out for each other and to talk to you about everything. I love those especially. I had no one to talk to....that I trusted anyhow.

This is my first time posting on this website as I was blocked for some reason until now. I have been reading here for about a year and trying to sort out the chronology of this website. I am a MK from PNG in the 80's so I too have experienced much of what my fellow MK's have posted. In my opinion NTM is a cult. This would explain why the leadership has turned away from doing the right thing -- they are so entrenched in their own twisted doctrine.

Every bad thing that was done by an adult and subsequently exposed was covered up and NOT to be talked about. Seems the same philosophy remains today. I wish I had never been exposed to NTM!

I agree entirely that NTM is a cult, namely because that is the route it has been taken down by it's leaders. Numonohi is a case in point, there was a core of men and women who were morally corrupt and who gained power of the school. Only the very brave dared take them on and they were generally despatched of quickly. It was easier to look the other way and claim to have no knowledge of what was going on.
The corruption then spread into the field committee and then back to Sanford (remember it was the former PNG field chairman who was responsible for the shredding of evidence). Have a look who is providing NTM with it's legal services and which field they were on.
Numonohi had operating within it a paedophile ring, the religious aspect was a cover for their activities, just like many other cults and groups have done.

Is this still going on at Numonohi? Who knows, but Gary Earl has only recently left PNG (his activities were known about for decades before he was forced out) and who knows who and what he left behind. And he wasn't dealt with properly at all.

NTM is a cult and a dangerous one. My advice to anyone still involved is to leave ASAP, unless you have the clear intention of making significant changes from within.

Welcome, Daisydone! I am so sorry you had problems getting registered on this site. There may be others who've run into the same frustration. I hope we can improve the situation soon.

It sounds like Numonohi in the '80s was really awful. And Bemused is right. Some of the men who were on that base during that period of time have risen to places of prominence in NTM. It is easy to see that it would be in their best interests to keep the widespread abuse of various kinds hidden from the world.

The same can be said about the despicable things that went on at the NTM school in Tambo, Bolivia during a certain period of time. Again, people who know about what happened there, or who were involved, or whose families were involved, now play key roles in present-day NTM. They are understandably frantic to protect their own position and reputation, or that of people close to them.

An enormous amount of energy, time and money is being spent to keep the dark secrets hidden. To keep the skeletons locked up in the closet. There is no question in my mind that the reason the children of yesterday are being treated with such contempt is that there are adults today who are protecting themselves from utter ruin.

But remember .... you can hide from your fellow humans ... but not from the Eyes of Heaven.

No, you will not hide forever.
