Perhaps a Parable:

And behold, there came a time when a message was to be sent out by they that sat on high. And it was a message of contrition. So they sought a messenger and beheld inst a field yonder, a lonely ass which did belong to a poor neighbour. Upon the ass was written "Pony Express" and they did covert the use of this ass. So saying the ass was instructed to travel the highways and byways, delivering unto the people it wast sent unto the message of contrition. And the ass was happy for the load was very light, being of few words and even less sincerity. But the ass was slow and did munch on much grass on it's delivery assignment, hence the expression "Grassy Ass".

I'd suggest that this will be par for the course. Any contrition will be delivered with contempt, not compassion, then the hands will be washed, recipients will be expected to be grateful and business will be as usual. Matter closed, Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, He is great e.t.c. e.t.c. Which will make as much sense as the above parable!

Well that settles that for me. No way am I going to participate in this sham of NTM and IHART.

I'd have to be out of my mind to tell IHART who I am and where I live, knowing that they are probably going to pass on to me two sentences that are pathetic, disgraceful and demeaning. Two sentences that will absolve the guilty of any further need to atone for their incompetence and abuse. Two sentences where they lie through their teeth and say they knew nothing about abuse.
NTM is full of senior missionaries who claim they know nothing. It is a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gossip was rife and in such a closed off cult, it still will be. Either these people are really stupid or they are treating us as if we are!!!!!!!

Forget it IHART, if you can't run a computer system without losing vital e-mails then there is no way I am going to tell you anything about my personal life, because what will stop the incompetence losing my personal details to the very people who are responsible for the abuse in the first place?

It's just a sham, fishing for information and covering NTMs well healed backside.

And while I am on a roll. Thought I'd have a look at these men on NTM's website. Not many details about them, guess they might be hiding.
What did amaze me was the number of Tribers who are back in their home countries. The first time I looked only 1 of the 6 featured were listed as being on the field. Maybe NTM should publish some figures about how much money is being donated to reach the lost in the third world when such a high percentage of those who are collecting the money are not even anywhere near the field!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. It's not a surprise, but very welcome to have it in writing. I am trying to get the word out . . .but I hate being the bearer of bad news!

As for getting the word out, we could do what Kari and Bonnie did back when they got this ball rolling - email the message to every NTM missionary.

JerryB, have you noticed on the new NTM website, I don't think this would be possible anymore. You can't pull up all the missionaries anymore like you used to be able to. You have to actually type in a missionary's name to find one you want. And you can't pull up an entire field like you could before, or check to see how many people are "In Transition".
