Post subject:  RAGE to DESPAIR
Two words we were not allowed to describe ourselves with, but we saw plenty of . . .Rage is when a caged animal wants out, but can't . . .despair, when they've given up, and curl in the corner.

Remembering times like these, not fun.

Oh, I've been around. A little too contemplative, me thinks. My move from hospice nursing to pediatrics was a good one . . .the kids bring me sorrow, but a lot of joy as well . . .Still strange having parents retired from the mission field, here. Mom's finding new things to worry about now that she has named us as her new mission field. Seeing the tyranny of their life in a little fundamentalist church . . .sigh. Despair much closer than rage these days.

Mary and her little lamb
Had Marys parents round to eat
No, no not to eat them
To warm the dining seat

Mary's parents loved Mary
In an interesting sort of way
They got down on their knees
And for her they did pray

For they wanted dear Mary
To be just as they had been
Out on the mission field
Fired up and so very keen

But Mary had other plans
For her own little life
She didn't want to be a missionary
And repeat her childhood strife

So to keep peace and harmony
They in private agreed to pray
And just love Mary and her little lamb
Unreservedly each and every day 8-)
