Hypothetical: Is it possible that a mission, whose upper management suggested the destruction of documents related to the sexual abuse of children, could also secretly monitor confidential interviews of victims/witnesses to better assess its exposure on a criminal and civil basis? For instance, could that mission suggest the storage of confidential interviews on its own servers?

Louis J. Freeh was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University in 1971 and received his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Rutgers School of Law in 1974 and his Master of Laws (LLM), in criminal law, from New York University School of Law in 1984. Freeh joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent in 1975, working assignments both at the Bureau's headquarters and later transferring to its New York City Field Division.

In 1981, Freeh joined the United States Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York as an Assistant United States Attorney. Following a series of promotions, and high-profile federal criminal prosecutions, he was appointed Deputy U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. In 1991, Freeh was appointed by President George H.W. Bush as the United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Freeh served on the federal bench until his appointment as Director of the FBI by President William J. Clinton in 1993. Freeh served as the Bureau's Director through 2001, at which time he accepted an offer from MBNA America Bank as Vice-Chairman, General Counsel, and Ethics Officer. In 2006, Freeh served as MBNA's principal lawyer when Bank of America acquired MBNA in a $35 billion transaction.

Following the acquisition, Freeh elected to leave the bank to pursue private law and international consulting endeavors, forming Freeh Group International Solutions, LLC in 2007 and also Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, LLP. In addition, Freeh currently serves on the corporate board of Bristol-Myers Squibb.

I'm sitting on the sidelines somewhat, down at the bottom of the world, still asking why this all happened in the first place and why wasn't it sorted out long long ago.
My bottom line is, we all need to be where we should be and in a reasonable timeframe. I.e. paedophiles paying for their crimes, victims exhonerated and able to move on and those who participated in the cover up dealt with according to rank (the bigger the fish, the bigger the consequence and yes even jail for those at the very top, just like happened to the Catholic Priest of late).

So if IHART achieves this, fantastic. It is a gamble, putting all ones eggs in ones basket, especially when the basket was designed by NTM, one that makes me personally feel nervous. But then I look at my woeful NTM reference points and think that I didn't pick them very well, i.e. a father who denies anything much was wrong with the NTM experience and doesn't care about MKs (including his own), a neighbour who went to jail for his crimes and so on and so forth (oh you've heard it all before, so won't bore you) . . .

It is good to hear the interviews progress well and the interviewees feel generally satisfied with the experience. Hopefully the evidence gathered is then used to achieve my bottom line as above, then I can hang up my boots and move on.

I sincerely hope that I am not disappointed or let down, I've had far to much of that in relation to NTM.

There was a report on our media that Penn State University has been ordered to pay 60 million, anyone know if that is accurate?

The sanctions imposed on Penn State by the National College Athletic Association:

A punitive fine of $60 million, equivalent to a full year of football-generated revenue, to be used in an endowment for programs dealing with child sexual abuse or assisting victims.

Joe Paterno's record 409 career wins are knocked down to 298 as the Nittany Lions must vacate all wins from 1998-2011.

Four-year postseason ban, both from bowl games and the Big Ten Championship.

Four-year scholarship reduction (10 initial, 20 total).

Players may transfer to other FBS schools and are immediately eligible to play.

Athletic department on probation for five years, with an NCAA-appointed athletic-integrity monitor being brought in to ensure no further violations are made.
