I've been reading little snippets from the New York Times article since it came out on Wednesday (see above). It's incredible how long things can take, depending on our expectations.

For instance if you're hiking near Mt. LeConte in Sevier County Tennessee (on the Appalachian Trail), you might come across the quick hike options, and the "long way" around. http://www.knoxnews.com/photos/gallerie ... nte/46665/

If you're standing in line at McDonalds, waiting for a healthy number 1 combo with a large coke, and you're trying to break your own land speed record to grandma's house, and the person in front of you seems to be asking questions about every ingredient in every item that is on the board, every extra minute seems to be an eternity, especially when the next cashier over is talking to Biff, her boyfriend, about Friday night plans.

If your parents say you can stay up until the 30 minute tv show is over, the 30 minutes fly by in less than 90 seconds.

If you're on a 9:15 flight from Atlanta to Sao Paulo, and you're sitting in the middle seat between two former basketball players, after you've just had two liters of mountain dew to keep you awake on the road to Atlanta....

Why does it take 35 minutes from Guarulhos to Faria Lima with no traffic and 3.5 hours with traffic.

Why are all visas issued by the same hermit living in cave in a desert where a pack mule is in charge of carrying all correspondence, and it takes 60 to 90 days?

I've written presidents (U.S. and Brazil). I've written governors (Florida, Goias). I've written local authorities. I've written the USDOJ, the Policia Federal. I've written dozens of churches that support tribers or are in the area of triber installations. I've written national newspapers, national networks, local newspapers, local tv stations. I've written hundreds of tribers. But there is One I haven't talked to as much as I should have. I've depended a lot on my own efforts. Why don't we all try throwing the net on the other side of the boat, and ask God for His solution. Remember, to him one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day, but of all the aforementioned entities, I'm guessin' He's the one that can really shake things up.

Now, if you've been raised in the Bible belt, you've been taught that God helps those who help themselves (II Biff 4:7). But here's what I've noticed. I can't save myself. I can't convince my wife that Genesis 1:28 should be obeyed on a more frequent basis. I can't keep a drunk driver from crossing the double yellow. I can add a cubit to my width, but not my height. I can't beat my kids at video games. I can't keep a neighbor from being (never mind....posting out in love).

So, I'm a thinkin' the best bet is Mr. Consuming Fire. I'm thinkin' the best bet is the Creator. I'm thinkin' the best bet is the One who gave His only begotten Son for all of us...all of us. Only He knows the perfect solution, and the heart of the king (and every other little dipstick who serves the king) is in His hand.

You are so right and He might surprise us all.

In two separate emails to Scott Ross dated in 1997, Richard Rayl referenced being approached by Dean Van Vliet and Macon Hare to destroy a potentially incriminating document(899and903). In one note, Rayl writes, “I am also concerned with the EC's cover up with the Gates, wanting to destroy documents that would incriminate them. It sounds a little like Texaco or some other corporation”

Were Dean Van Vliet and Macon Hare walking with the Lord in 1997?

Andy, Scott Ross, Tibby, Pat, Ramirez, Larry, Wymas . . . .anybody out there in triber country have enough hair on their chest to answer that one?

Tom Bennet, NTM house counsel at the time, also suggested that one of these documents should be destroyed (913). This is particularly concerning in light of the fact that the 12/26/89 memo is nowhere to be found today. This missing, possibly destroyed document could have contributed significantly to the GRACE investigation.

What does it mean to walk with the Lord?

I heard about this concept growing up, but I need your input.  Here
are three examples from the lives of former leaders of New Tribes
Mission, the entity responsible for the boarding school where my
sister was sexually abused.

If you believe the men referenced above "walked with the Lord" during
the episodes documented above, please reply to this e-mail.  If you
don't think the above men "walked with the Lord", let me ask you this,
Is it possible for Christians to commit crimes against innocent
children....the most heinous of crimes, sexual child abuse?
