I assume you have been to Jersey Shore, PA. About 51 miles to the southwest, you will find another beautiful Pennsylvania town, State College. I'm sure you've heard of Penn State University, a secular school in State College, which hired the former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to examine allegations of sexual child abuse involving one predator.

Reaching the tribes is important. Caring for the abused children who bore the brunt of the ministry is a million times more important. Jesus agonized in the Garden because He knew He would be separated from His Father. Not only were these girls/women separated from their parents (based on pressure from those sitting in your chair), they were then subjected to the most vile form of torture, at the hands of people who received training in places like Jersey Shore, PA.

Stop the New Tribes boat, and focus on the children. For once.

Had a great conversation yesterday with a veteran missionary near the Lehigh Valley International Airport. His career(s) is unique. He worked with the Ayore tribe. He taught at Cedarville. He was in Vietnam; the name of one of his brothers is on the Vietnam Memorial wall. He helped deliver Bibles behind the Iron Curtain for six months. He has authored more than 10 books. Two of his kids work in Ghana. One works in the pharmaceutical industry near Apopka, Florida. We talked about fandaeagles. In a very gentle way, he encouraged me to be compassionate as to everyone, and to pray and depend on God to do a mighty work on behalf of those who suffered abuse.

Compassion, yes.
Converse, yes.
Capitulate, never. (in the sort of words of Winston C.)

There are a lot of peace loving people in this surrounding area. And a helluva lot of abuse. A lot of people who pray. And some of the worst cases of child abuse, ever.

Wish it were simpler. The farms look so idyllic. But when women and children and people who don't fit in are placed in quiet, subservient roles, you betcha there's abuse.

I really like looking at the cows though. They're my buddies.

who was a Holocaust survivor and pursued
Nazi war criminals all his life---into his 90's.
It was not an easy life.
But it led to some victories and some justice.
Can we do less?
Can we forget?
God will grant justice at the end of all things.
But are we to stop analyzing and encouraging and researching
And supporting in the meantime?

Yes, this is a different situation.
Is not our situation serious?
Lives ruined…….
