As I try to transition from just another angry MK to just another angry MK trying to climb aboard the aforementioned "sympathy train" (does not stop in Secaucus) and/or the "money train" (New Tribes tried to transfer shares to me yesterday, but instead of the 100,000 shares of Ross & Sidebotham Insulation and Drywall, all I got was a text message from Larry the Cucumber (I'm losin' all credibility right there) which said the New York Stock Exchange had crashed, the transfer wouldn't happen, but that I was still entitled to Bacon & Eggs for half price at Denny's), I notice the verse that headlines New Tribes' ancient child protection handbook (see link above in previous post; out of the need for sympathy or the love of money, click on the link). Good grief...the manual is from 2002....Paul Fleming was but a yute (see My Cousin Vinny). But anyways, the verse that was chosen to grab your attention in this ancient document written in 2002 by King James, Ian Paisley, Macon Hare, Paul Fleming's Aunt Matilda....written on ancient scrolls of papyrus and dropped from a DC-3 with Ken Johnston's reel-to-reel.....let's just take a poll....does the verse chosen sound like New Tribes was concerned about children or predators?

Their concern seems to be as to predators, but not from a perspective of protecting children but of restoring predators.

II Cor. 2:6-8 is a wonderful passage. I hope I am treated with mercy by my fellow believers, and restored. But when restoration of the offender is highlighted, the welfare of children is minimized. This manual from 2002 is consequently infested with examples of where the mission's interest is placed above that of the child, as has been highlighted many times over the last five years on this website.

The 2002 handbook is a despicable piece of trash.

I know there were far more victims then will ever talk. The handbook highlights how dangerous the world was for the MKs.

We often get asked about the degree of pain/hurt . . . We were conditioned to take the blame for any mishap or misdeed, and also conditioned not to complain. So talking about our past seems wrong, like we know it wasn't as bad as _____ or _____.

And maybe you don't want to call it abuse. That's ok. You can still get help to process details from a life that is very little understood.
