Let's say a crime occurs. The victim has been brutally and repeatedly attacked by someone who has parental authority over the victim. Nobody calls the police, even though at least 3,000 of the assailant's co-workers (most of whom share prayer requests, gossip and old copies of the Family News) become aware of the attacks. The entity which employs the assailant and the 3,000 bewildered but silent bystanders promises a prompt and speedy investigation, and hires the investigators, and hires the coordinator of the investigators, and continues to employ the parents of the victim. The only person the employer doesn't hire is the victim. But the employer isn't too worried about what the victim has to say because the coordinator of the investigators says the assaults were not assaults at all, but "typical MK psychological issues."
