One of the people listed in the GRACE report works today for a Presbyterian mission and lives in a resort city about 2 hours from Vianopolis.

Should the people of Caldas Novas know about his propensities?

Should the parents of children living in Caldas Novas be kept in the dark?

Ignorance is bliss....until crap happens.

I've written the Presbyterian mission....nary a response.

DDML, Funny (not ha, ha funny) that comment, "not to destroy another man's ministry" was also used by ABWE when they were confronted with an accusation of assault from a teenage against a missionary home on furlough. I would say when people commit these acts they are destroying their own ministry and need to be stopped. Full stop.

Interesting, I've had a version of this preached at me also. Maybe all the utterers went to the same school, except that is impossible. It is the ignorant defending the indefensible with insults to the injured.
Or if one prefers to be blunt, crackpots serving up the same old mantras to justify why they aren't doing what is morally right or to protect their own skins.

Alas they also destroy the credibility of good people and turn potential saints into skeptics (or even worse agnostics).

This book A Cry for Justice by Jeff Crippen shows the tactics of the abuser. One of the thing he mentions is that the mind of the abuser does not work like the mind of a normal person. Abusers feel entitled, everything should go their way. Most have no intentions of changing and will continue their abuse.
