The answer to your question is "an accident of birth".

i.e. if you were born with a certain genetic soup, nurtured in a certain manner then you are, given certain landmarks in your upbringing being obtained, going to end up as a religous fanatic. Which religon you end up being a fanatic for, solely depends on where you were therefore born.

Actually that is quite interesting. Downunder I think NTMers would call me "Beelzebub" not "Bemused", I'm a pain in the posterior region. Yet ironically I've been treated with considerable respect by quite a few U.S. NTMers and on Fanda Eagles (where there are very few non U.S. citizens participating). Perhaps it is the novelty value, (or people having no idea what on earth I'm talking about and being too polite to tell me its total rubbish ), or politeness is a national characteristic more akin to the Northern Hemisphere.

But then didn't the good book say "A prophet is not welcome in his own country"? (but a profit sure is). Perhaps if we switched positions for a while . . .

Just sitting here on the sidelines smiling, enjoying listening in on this conversation.

Frank Parker sexually abused my sister between 1985 and 1987.
That's 25 to 27 years ago.
No criminal charges were ever brought against anybody, whether for the abuse or any related action or inaction.

What has New Tribes Mission told its members regarding this?
