Yes this is true. I gues in the end only God knows each of our hearts intent. He must be so heartbroken for everyone. It is true that His enemy satan roars around seeking who he can destroy and boy he sure destroyed alot of New Tribers.

I hope there can be some peace and even joy found for all the victims,in the end. I don't know how it will happen accept with Gods help. But we must believe it is possible or nothing said or done here is worth it.

Wow, I just caught up on all of this. That "prayer letter" Steve Armour sent to his supporters is truly one of the sickest things I have ever read. This is someone who has a lot of practice using blame as a tool, eh? His daughter's post is just sad to me on so many different levels. And the spiritual jargon in both letters just makes me want to cry at the bad theology. @survivor, i am seriously praying for you with this added abuse by your family. Hang in there. Truth will out.

My heart is racing and I know yours has been broken AGAIN in thousands of pieces. What can I say, except that I love you so very much and wish to God that I could have prevented all of this so many years ago.

I am comforted only by the fact that I believe that God weighs Satan's intended destructive hurts to God's children, against HIS own mighty arm of salvation and His grace and glory potential in our lives, wounded but healed and yielded to HIM. ONLY when He knows that His intended GLORY will someday be greater than the pain of today, then HE allows that pain in our lives. But, sin against us is NEVER God's original plan and "Woe be to him who sins against even one of God's little ones.!

Dear little warrior, God's army gathers around you and around HIM who is our salvation and our shield.

Ornery, what can I say? You are always welcome in our house. I'm very sorry for your hurt, too, and I can definitely identify. I wanted to somehow be able to "fill the gap" left in your young heart when your folks left you at school. I knew the pain in their heart not by experience, but just knew as a mom. But, I also know how very much they loved you then and still do, perhaps more than ever today. Thanks for being YOU!

This is all so painful to read. I just want to reach through my anonymity and say I am hurting with all of you so much. All of you who have been so deeply wounded by Steve's Deep Ugly Sin.

And his daughter who is in denial. So, so sad. Just like the dorm Mom who stayed in her bed when she woke up in the middle of the night and her husband was missing. "I thought he was hungry and was up getting himself a snack."

Absolutely true!

By continuing in ministry without following through with the recommendations of a supporting church (which the Armours chose to put themselves accountable under) to seek intensive counseling as a sexual abuser for one year has now resulted in more consequences that hurt the victims once AGAIN and further soils the testimony of Christ. Do not understand the lack of willingness to pursue the counseling and accountability.

In religious contexts it usually refers to confession to God, ceasing sin against God, and resolving to live according to religious law. It typically includes an admission of guilt, a promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible.

The minimizing of the abuse, the minimal counseling efforts, the minimal attempt at accountability and the exchange of the role of perpetrator to victim is evidence that the enemy is within the camp.....it is the enemy who is using these unresolved, unrepentant and incomplete repentance to further damage the victims and the LORD'S ministry.

I beleive Steve Armour has tried to change; I believe he has tried to atone for his sexual abusive behaviour; I believe he has tried to walk in integrity. He got caught and he owed up to what was revealed. He has worked hard to be different.

so WHAT! He is a criminal and can walk with the Lord in prison.

I am truly heart sick about his daughter. I fear for her when the walls of protection she so carefully has built around herself come crumbling down. This is so sad.

I have read the documentation behind the Fanda GRACE report several times. Dave Brooks responded as Steve Armour. In 1992 he told Dean VanVleet that he couldn't understand why the "Mikitson girl" was struggling with what he had done. When he was approached by Ron Abram of the Senegal field committee while still on the field, he told him he had done "tummy rubs." An abuser does not tell the truth. An abuser chooses what he will tell - sometimes just enough to owe up to something but never to owe up to all.

Similarity between the two is obvious.

OT: received your pms. None were rambling, but a couple were duplicative. Seems that not only does your forum posts duplicate, but also your pms from time to time.

Survivor is speaking out the most loudly because bless her heart she is much like her dear daddy. When he feels he is right about a subject, he will and does speak out with authority (though probaly not here in this forum.) Survivor has read, studied, prayed, counseled with professional and spiritual mentors, as well as been used of God to counsel others. My heart is hurting also for the other victims who are picking up the pieces of their hurt hearts again these days. I sensed a heaviness while "talking" with one of them over skype this week end. I know other one who also expressed that the "description of her abuse" was wrong and minimized. When you pray for Survivor, pray for the others, too. They are hurting though you may not hear as much from them. They are also wounded warriors. Love you all so much!
