Way to go...sometimes we need to help the broken and weaker ones who cannot help themselves. Sometimes they simply cannot reach out of their desolation for lack of strength. That is why those of us farther along the road of recovery must take action and bring those ones to the fore front. We need to hold them up and cry out their stories so that healing and justice can begin. Keep up the good work!!!

Down and Out: I admire your speaking out! You should have picked a more descriptive screen name. Something like, "No Longer Down and Out." (And don't bother suggesting that I should have picked something like "Not Gene Long." That suggestion has already been made. )

For a number of conflicting reasons, most people will always remain silent. One important reason is that . . . well, it's that most people remain silent! Speaking out under those circumstances makes one feel like a Jihadist, raving, out of bounds heretic! Oh, wait. You already knew that! Awful, isn't it?

The fewer voices out there, the more important every single voice is. Your voice is needed, welcomed and eloquent. Please do not give up.

I know that 'Down and Out" and I are not the only ones that went to Tambo. I've been writing to some of you. 'Down and Out' is right. When GRACE starts asking questions, they will dig deep. Don't let someone else tell your story. We all need help and to band together.

Yes, what are we to make of the silence from Tambo? I didn't go there, but I know there are stories from Tambo that need to be told.
The SILENCE has significance. What is it? What are you telling us with your silence?

Very well said, Down and Out- and especially the part about not allowing current abuse at NTM facilities. I think only the very naive would believe it's not happening now. Sadly.
