Thank you for all this analysis. Very disheartening. Very disturbing. Very unjust. To think of Tambo being like that when it was very much appreciated by most all of our family, but NOT ALL. And some strange things did happen. And some sad things. And now we find out that much more happened when we were there. AND after. It's horrendous! And we read stories from Panama and from East Brazil. We agonized with those MKs. And what did the reports show? Almost nothing! GRACE must have been a divine mistake. A divine appointment. Kari, you and your sister and your folks and Bonnie wrote eloquently and bravely confronted leaders. After 7 1/2 years its still going on? You turned the spotlight ON. You and others who told their stories and shared. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? |

Dreamwords, you were so methodical, kind and persistent. Very firm and courageous in your stand. You turned the spotlight UP. And what happened? THEY WIGGLED OUT AGAIN! |

The silence of the survivors crushes my hopes for any adequate response from those who took away the voices of my fellow MKs. You speak so eloquently of the effects of the abuse of innocent children, threewillows. My heart is broken, my mind keeps churning, and my fingers will do more tapping on the keys of my computer. This is not over yet. |

Pat said the scope of IHART's investigation would be from 1959-2004, and they had names of 1,056 students to attempt to contact. As of January 2013, Pat already had a perpetrator list with 42 names on it! At that point, they had just only begun to scratch the surface in their investigation process. By the time Theresa finished the process, 245 MKs from Tambo had been interviewed. 31 people were found to have "some level of misconduct". 15 of those were not deemed to deserve dismissal from NTM. So it would appear to me that out of the 42 people whose names were already on a list three years ago, plus however many more were added in the years following, in the end, only 16 people "had actions that were determined to be at a level that required dismissal by NTM policy standards". These numbers speak for themselves, as far as I am concerned. |
