For those of you awaiting the completion of the investigation into MK abuse at Tambo, it is imperative that you read the November update just posted by Theresa Sidebotham on the IHART website.
http://www.ihart.care/progress.htmlWe who are closely following developments have read the Summary Report published by IHART about Panama. We have been looking at how IHART handled the Panama investigation as a predictor of what we could expect from the Tambo investigation.
A careful reading of the November IHART update leads me to suspect that we are going to see a difference in how this final investigation is being handled.
"We have had comments on the Panama Summary Report and are considering changes for future investigations based on the comments received, as we consider whether a Summary Report is useful to provide."In her April, 2016 progress report, Theresa had indicated there
would be a Summary Report on Tambo abuse:
"The Bolivia team is continuing to work on their Report. They are nearly finished .... When it is finalized, we will make the Report available to a Panel, whose job it will be to make recommendations to New Tribes Mission. Once both of those steps are completed, we will begin writing up individual Statements of Findings for those involved from Bolivia, as well as a Summary Report of the investigation."But now, today, Theresa is backing away from that commitment.
" ..... as we consider whether a Summary Report is useful to provide."Instead of a Summary Report that will be published on the IHART website in their Reports section, now the indication is that documents about Tambo abuse will only be sent to "those involved".
"...there is much to be done to prepare documents to be distributed to those involved.
"As we work toward that release, we need updated contact information for those involved in the Bolivia investigation." Am I being a pessimist, or a realist?
Experience has taught me to read VERY carefully everything written by Theresa. She is an exceptionally skilled wordsmith.
Also, I predict that
if there is no Bolivia Summary Report posted for the public to read, the blame for this omission will fall on those who criticized the Panama report. And who might that be? Raz and the other "bitter MKs" on Fanda Eagles?
Wait and see if I am right about this.
