"Tambo:

The scope of the investigation covers 1959 – 2004 when the school was closed. The investigators have 1056 student names to attempt contact, which includes some staff as possible witnesses/survivors and or perpetrators. This does not include other adult staff members. Early January, 2013, 49 US mailings went out along with some e-mails. So far, in January, 14 MK’s have requested interviews. With the scope of this investigation, we expect this investigation to last 2-3 years.

The alleged perpetrator list has 42 names taken from the interviews I have which are not all."

Abuse reports from 1959 to 2004!

Over 1,000 students to be contacted (if possible), as possible victims or witnesses!

The magnitude of this investigation is such that Pat Hendrix expects it to last 2-3 years! Since she has been pretty far off on other estimates, and this investigation is already a year old, I am thinking another 3-4 years from now may be more realistic.

At least 42 people at Tambo over a 5-decade period abused or molested innocent children.

I also keep hearing of more abusers from where I grew up. It is a terrible history for the church.

And that 42 is just from the one school?

What does it take to be classed as a pedophile ring?

Sheesh and this was a missionary school run by supposed christians part of a supposed christian organisation.

This is just crazy scary stuff.

When I was a kid I was a bit jealous of the missionaries from our Church whose kids when to an NTM school. I thought it must be so much fun going to a christian school where everyone would be nice. My high school was the worst in my city, lots of fights and drugs for sale. I was scared of a lot of the kids who you dare not even look at. Oh how I was the lucky one!!!!

My family was at Tambo in the early 90's (when both Rich Hine and Bob Fischer were dismissed from NTM). There were staff members that truly loved and nurtured the kids but, unfortunately, several of the staff were harsh, legalistic and unloving. The kids at Tambo were a wonderful bunch and didn't deserve to live in an atmosphere of "guilty until proven innocent." Half hours and swats were given for the smallest offenses (my son got in trouble one time for saying his Bible verse to the wrong person and another time for scratching his head during a test). My husband was very outspoken about the excessive punishment and even met with the Field Committee about it when attempts with the school leadership lead nowhere. It didn't make us popular with some at the school and we were turned down when we requested staying a third year. I really loved those kids and it was heartbreaking to leave them. Several of my family have met with the investigators and even though it may take some time, I am hopeful that people will be held accountable.
Forty-two so far, it makes me want to weep.

This is a good picture of how it was.

42......oh how God weeps. He gave us everything and all he wants in return is US. Our Faith, Trust, Love and Obedience. And in return these sinners claiming to work for and serve God have hurt God's prescious children. The wrath of God on these men and/or women scares me and I am a victim.

Question: of the subject but not....does anyone know why Panama is now going all the way back to 1962 in their investigation???
