What I mean by speaking in absolutes means "ALL say this", "ALL think that". -- When I was ejected from a church during a business meeting I was saying: "This church thinks". The next day a member let me know I had hurt him and others in the church because they did not agree with the decision that I be ejected. However by speaking in absolutes I alientated him and the majority by including them in what they did not agree with and that only served to power the the minority.

Point taken. Probably not all of the members had this complaint. But my understanding is the reason GRACE was not retained was because of the objections of the ones who did.

"IHART" now gets to find out if they can strike a more pleasing balance that NTM will be more supportive of.

If any investigation of widespread abuse of innocent children ever turns out pleasant, I don't believe that will look like justice to me.

As a "good" spokesperson, Ms Zelenak has managed to sidestep the question. I suppose this is better than telling an outright lie, as she did when asked if Joel Price had ever worked with children in Venezuela. She denied it, but NTM's own publication, NTM@Work, refuted her; it had a picture of Joel Price, convicted child porn addict, teaching the Bible to youngsters.

NTM tried to limit the extent of those who were privy to knowledge about what happened. In laymen's terms, that is a cover up.

Proof of this is available from NTM's own in house publication, Family News. Announcing the death of Les Emory's wife, several years after he was dismissed for raping children in his care, NTM informed the faithful that the Emorys had "served 15 years in the Philippines." Either the author was unaware of Les Emory's crimes, eloquent testimony to the effectiveness of the cover up, or they were party to hiding it.

Does NTM know that Americans who commit overseas crimes are regularly punished? It happens because the authorities in those countries are aware of the crimes and have legal systems in place to punish them. The US is not the only country in the world with laws. In fact, in many countries, punishments are even more stringent than they are in America.

The ethnocentricity and arrogance of NTM, an organization that pretends to respect other cultures, is beyond qualification.

Why didn't NTM report this crime to the authorities in the Philippines at the time they learned of it?

What needs to happen is for someone to work with lawmakers to punish those who fail to report crimes in the countries where they are committed.

It sounds like the hearing regarding NTM's move to dismiss the Jane Doe 7 lawsuit has been delayed. The complaint is to be amended in some way. I don't know if press releases come out for this or whether we just have to wait for the revised court filing.
