I welcome you, WmichMK, with a big, warm hug. Our family lived at Aritao, and both of our daughters were molested by Les. Like your parents, we trusted him, as a friend, and left our children in his care when we needed to be away from the school center, for medical reasons or ministry trips.

To my eternal regret, we trusted him. Just like your parents did.

I am not aware of any other reports of Les abusing infants. But he is capable of anything, in my opinion. We know for sure that he violated small children, as young as 6, for sure, and had at least one boy victim, along with many girls.

He is also a liar. So nothing he confirms or denies could be believed. Your parents could confront him, but even if they did, nothing he says would be any proof of anything. Have you seen the footage of the interview done with him a few months ago? That's how he talks. No integrity or credibility whatsoever.

But for you, my dear WmichMK, there is hope and healing. You are taking the important first steps: acknowledging your needs and having the courage to speak out about them. For you, there is help. You have our full support on your journey.

We are here for you. You are not alone.

Greetings fellow MK's. .... I do not want to jump to any conclusions until I know if there is anyone out there who is aware of L.E. ever abusing infants at Aritao. I know that it is a difficult thing to validate as the victims were too young to be able to vocalize any of their recollections, but perhaps somewhere, someone knows something.

The very fact that anyone, anywhere, need ever wonder about such a possibility speaks volumes.

What a sad legacy NTM boarding schools have left behind... quite in contrast to how they were presented to those of us in "the training" in those days.

It is indeed a sad commentary on the state of the mission when a person is suddenly faced with the uncertainty of whether or not their dignity was compromised as an infant by a trusted leader. Again, I don't claim to suffer in any way remotely comparable to others here on this site, but the not knowing is very unnerving.
