My dear dear Mosquito Bite,
The leaders I knew in my journey through NTM were sincere wonderful men, until you got to know them and what they were really up to, or you found out decades latter what depths they had stooped to, to protect the reputation of criminals and keep the money flowing.
Some raped, many lied, most cheated and bullied. Very few have had the courage to turn in their comrades to the long arm of the law.
Yet they no doubt let their deluded supporters still give generously to support their deception.
I never asked to be part of NTM, I was a kid who ended up in NTM against my better judgement. I can't turn back the clock and erase from my memory what I experienced and saw. So I coped the best way I could. Fake humility, fake theology and amateurish leadership, it was hard to take it seriously. The only difference now is that I no longer fear laughing out loud at how bad it was.
Your good self has done the honourable thing and exited from underneath this mess and started afresh. Oh that many others had had the courage to do the same.
My friends accept me for who I am, we laugh together when we need to get through the hard times as well as when times are good. We cry together on occassion and we are there for each other.
To be a friend of Bemused takes courage, trust and a sense of adventure. No fake sincerity, humility or theology will be offered, it just isn't me. Bemused doesn't have a screening process for friends, what one believes is of no consequence, it is what one does that matters and if one can act with integrity and honesty then thats a good start. Throw in a zest for life and a good dose of humour and its looking pretty good
