Wow. Pretty clear what is supposed to be done about child molesters...

BUT, we will send a representative and have tea with them and make sure that they are continuing to do better in their marriage, etc but we don't have time to visit the ones that he abused. But his fellowship is important to us.

What authority or power do Larry or Andy have to change the system that has been going on for so long?
It is not looking like they have any.
Talk is 'you know what.'
Repentance is the only thing that these leaders need to do at first.
True repentance before God.
Not an apology. An admittance of sin.
Then public repentance that is genuine.
Yes, it will be embarrassing and humiliating.
It should be.
It may even ruin NTM's reputation.
What is left of it.
It does not matter if they were "on the watch" or not when these things happened.
They represent the corporation right now and are responsible for acting in this situation.
THEN they can start to care about the MKs instead of putting them off with one strategic delay after another.
What did the neighbor in AZ say about NTM? That he had not met anyone in NTM who was not likable. But when they act together, they do things that no individual would think of doing on his own.
They can talk all they want. While they talk, other "leaders" with no accountability that is evident continue to devastate others instead of shepherding and encouraging and equipping.
When the actions match the talk, then we will listen.

I still check this site on a regular basis and I am fatigued with the “same-old, same-old” patterns.

I observed that Dbarney seemed to silence many. He/she has taken to defend NTM. This person’s posts are so much a reminder of how NTM deals with people. I run from that style of relating. Seems like others have as well.

As far as Larry Brown, I’m sure as Mosquito Bite says he is fine as an individual. Corporately, I haven’t observed NTM repentance. The outrage is always tempered with protecting the mission. I have zero respect for Paul and Faith Wyma, who live in a pretend world that “forgives” heinous sexual crimes within the family. Band-aid on cancer if you ask me. Let’s all just rearrange our plastic world and smile and pretend. Whitened sepulcher! Dead – but looking oh so good. God’s not fooled and neither am I. Neither are authentic Christians who face head on their sinfulness. Only then can they fully embrace grace. Powerful. Just not for the fake walking tombs…

I’ve missed Ornery. He brought so much to this site. If I feel worn out, how must he feel? I’m grieved for all of you still waiting… and waiting…. And waiting. Meanwhile, NTM continues to go to the ends of the earth until every tribe hears. Ironic, isn’t it?
