Are those key people STILL in meetings?

I thought this was a pretty good update from Kari. I know it's not an official update from NTM but this is great news and more meaningful coming from Kari.

We're really just waiting and seeing now. I'm encouraged that NTM for all their meetings and lack of action truly is handling this better than we could have expected. I'm so so grateful that they hired GRACE as the investigative team, and I'm grateful that Larry Brown seems to be taking this seriously. I'm grateful for Tibby Westcott who has been wonderful to work with and I'm grateful that NTM is paying my counseling costs cheerfully.

As I receive emails from other MKs with other missions, many of whom are handling their own abuse allegations HORRIBLY, I'm struck by how, even though NTM has done so much wrong in this whole process, they really seem to be trying and they have done some things so right. Namely, hiring GRACE.

I'm eager to see the other schools investigated.

Christmas is over. I hope everyone in Sanford had a great Christmas with their families. Families are very important, and I'm not being sarcastic.
Now it's over, so I'm looking for some forward movement.
Oh no, wait. now it's almost New Years Eve. More parties planned.
Don't expect any action in dealing with MK abuse this week.
Too much to celebrate.

Here's the latest. What I am curious about is, how will ONE woman be able to investigate all of these schools? GRACE is a professional, experienced team of people, and they were overwhelmed at times with the information flooding in, just from Fanda.

Below is the latest information from NTM regarding future investigations. This information will be posted publically soon.

“Plans to launch independent investigations of past child abuse within NTM are moving forward this week.

Representatives of New Tribes Mission continue meeting today with the new independent coordinator who will administer the entire investigative process. The coordinator is Pat Hendrix, an experienced child sexual abuse investigator who has served as an ombudsperson and facilitator in previous investigations.

The primary purpose of the meeting is to ensure that Ms. Hendrix has a framework that allows her to operate completely independently of New Tribes Mission.”

Okay, I am merely assuming that she is working alone. I could easily be wrong. I truly hope that I AM wrong, and that the investigations of the other schools will be as thorough as GRACE's was.
Once again, time will tell.
