Anyone see the Oprah show today? She had 200 men on who had been sexually abused as boys. Twins told their story of being horribly abused by a priest and gang raped by priests. I cried all the way through it, and just found it unbelievable that 1 in 6 men were abused as children! I'm sure some healing took place as these men had the courage to stand up and tell what happened to them.
Does anyone know if there were any NTM men there? I heard that one was a Mamou survivor.

Didn't see that show but wish that I had. Yes, what courage for them to step forward and share their stories! I applaud all those that do. And as I've said before...in speaking up and telling our stories, healing begins!

I see that the entire show, in four segments, seems to be on YouTube right now. I'm heading over there to watch as much as I can...

Yes, I watched it. That took an awful lot of courage on everyones part to be in the audience today. There was no distinguishable difference between what these men are going through, and what That Girl is going through. I wept.

I watched a few minutes and couldn't stomach it! Too close to home, what happened to some I knew. But I dd go online and read one of the Mamou men's story. So very sad.

I watched the first segment with my wife.....very disturbing but it was good to see men confront their past.

We watched as we had dear friends in the group of 200. We are so very proud of them! What courage!

The second half of the show airs on Friday of this week, if you all are interested in seeing it. One of the things they will focus on this week is the wives, mothers, basically the women, of these men.
