I'll repeat here, more publicly, what I posted on Facebook:

I don't understand how they think that a public report that doesn't name the abusers has any value except to try to protect their reputation.

If they don't name the abusers, you can be sure there will be loud protests. And we will most certainly figure out who they are and make it public.

Someone replied with, "I assumed this meant names of victim/survivors would not be revealed, but wow, if this means they won't be naming abusers .... phooey! what kind of report is that??" To which I said: "Obviously there's someone they need to protect."

As you may recall, even though NTM refused to publish the names of Via abusers, we worked them all out without any problems.

And we will make them public.

I add my voice to that too!

NTM, IHART, Theresa: Let us state clearly: An investigation report that does NOT include the names of adults who abused children in Panama or Boliva will NOT be acceptable!

We will definitely be speaking out about that, if that is the kind of "report" you produce!

It will be obvious to all, that this so-called investigation process is a sham, and you have been keeping everyone dangling, waiting, expecting, when your intention all along was to protect the mission and your missionaries (or former missionaries or deceased missionaries), rather than to bring any sort of justice, validation or closure to the MKs who have already suffered so much, for so long!

We're pissing in the wind and getting our panties wet again! NTM is in damage control and that is what IHART is all about! Forget naming, shaming and kumbah yah diddly squat, call in the big boys and get this mess cleaned up once and for all! Let's have the jail doors open and the gates of our living hell closed! Because until NTM can provide death certificates for all these perverts they have been hiding or proof that they are demanding that the law deal with their myriad of offenders, the abuse will never end, it will just be better hidden!

Remember Scott Kennell, it wasn't that long ago, years after NTM said they had cleaned up their act and would deal with offenders properly! The didn't, a lot of people knew he was bad news and NTM let him come and go as he pleased!
