Any chance that we can see the website that is showing Scott as "serving the Lord"?

How many times have we seen something exposed here and overnight the Correction Fairy sprinkles some magical dust and . . .


Personally I think we should never forget this case. We must do what we can to make sure history never repeats, because NTM will fail to do so. We reached out to those who could catch him and catch him they did.

Imagine if Scott had got to the childrens camp he was going to. Imagine if he had carried on abusing children there, he had videoed himself raping a child, this was a very sick pervert.

And what about those images, they are probably on other mens computers now, that is how child porn makers work.

I agree.

We must never forget this case.

NTM is hoping everyone will forget. So ... we will NOT.

I am very disturbed by what I read this morning! It was a piece written by a career NTM missionary about the suicide of their daughter in law and son. They say they shared with them that God loved them but the deceased didn't accept that God loved them so much that He would take care of the terrible traumas they had had in their life!
But it doesn't say they told the deceased that they loved them or cared for them or they listened to them or got help for them!
I don't know what the trauma was, but being with NTM it may well have been horrific abuse!
And then all the comments are gut wrenching, because they seem to be thinking the same way!

I think one of the tragic consequences of the arrogant thinking of fundamentalism of all sort is that it leads people into believing they get to play god. Fundamentalists are so confident that they have all the answers and that their way is the only way, that they conclude that this gives them the right to be jury, judge ... and in some cases executioner.

I am speaking in broad terms now. Fundamentalists (and fanatics) of various religions and persuasions are incredibly confident that they are right, and they get to decide who else is wrong.

To apply this to the NTM parents you are referring to: New Tribers are so sure that they know exactly how God thinks and acts, that if they decide their own child has "rejected" Christ, then Christ has also rejected their child, and that child will spend eternity in fiery punishment.

I now feel it is very arrogant for us puny humans to assume that we can be the ones to put people in one category or another. The ins, and the outs. The ones who matter, and the ones who don't.

This case sounds terribly sad. I believe we all know of at least one MK who has ended their life in deep despair. I think it would be more productive and healing to understand why, than to decide where their souls are spending eternity .... I will let God be the judge of that. And my belief is that His love is immense and he does not stop loving us just because we give up on ourselves. His mind is infinitely bigger than my small one. And his heart is deeper and wider than all the oceans and all the eons of time.

That's a very hard and very sad situation for any parents.
As they said---they will never be able to know all the answers.
If their faith holds encouragement or hope for them--I do not deny them that.
If they want to share where they are in their journey of healing, then good.
It's a personal matter. It's their story if they want to share it.
