I agree. In spite of being taught differently and parenting differently than that ... I now agree.

Lots of regrets about things I can't undo.

It's a hard thing to come to the realization that something we may have done to our children is wrong. The important part is the realization and cessation. We are beautiful human beings, evolving and growing.

Now there is another lie. The beatings weren't done for "punishment", they were done for sadistic pleasure and to "break the child". Numerous adults had loose lips and quite openly talked about their sadistic pleasures.

Move on decades and how many of these adults are running around saying they love their kids or the MKs they knew, but the so called love comes with strings that certain hoops must be jumped through before the love can be bestowed? Which of course means it isn't love at all. Nothing has changed, it is just the need to be in control, wrapped up in cultish clichés.

The result is broken families.
