Meantime, us clever Kiwis have a cunning plan. We are going to swap our old airplane for a nice new one with USAF on the side of it. Bit of paint and no one should notice should they?

But seriously, Thanksgiving is on the way and then Christmas. A time to give thanks and celebrate, as well as eat far to much to the point of being uncomfortable. Perhaps in our moment of excess we can spare a thought for those who will have a lot less to celebrate and have suffered great loss.

Great news story Bemused. Isn't it like that though? Usually the small or less fortunate are the ones who reach out to ones who are suffering. Some of the most generous people I know are in human terms "poor". Some of the kindest folks I know are down to earth human beings who do not have a fancy car, house or title of leadership. And the most courageous advocates I know against child abuse are often victims themselves or outcasts of religious organizations.

Nothing wrong with being rich, it's just the method one got rich by and what one does with ones riches that can be the problem. As you so kindly observe, often the most generous are those who have less to be generous with.

I am not afflicted by great riches and as for generosity, Mrs Bemused is still deciding if I qualify as a generous person. Christmas is coming, so any advice welcome .

Mrs Bemused bought one of these a few months ago and we find it excellent for charging phones and other devices. They are really well built and designed for places without reliable electricity supply.
The beauty of this company is when you buy one, another one is given to an area that badly needs such devices, i.e. the Philippines. So now we have purchased a couple more
