And while you are thinking, here's something else to think about:

NTM's response to the arrest of Scott Kennell.

If NTM's professed concern is for the safety of children, why was NTM's response focused entirely on protection of the mission, not on dissemination of full information about a pervert who had lurked within the mission family for decades?

This man's name was not even given out to mission members, for goodness sake! If they wanted to know who the shadowy figure was who'd been arrested at the airport in Florida, they would have had to Google it, or find out here on Fanda Eagles!

Was there no consideration given to the probability that this man had had other, unknown victims in the years he'd spent in the mission? Did no one wonder what might have happened to this MK who grew up in "the work", to twist him into becoming a child pronographer?

How many adults are hurting out there in our world, who think they were the only ones touched inappropriately by "Uncle Scott" years ago? How many are struggling, how many are having flashbacks and nightmares about the "games" they were pressured into participating in as innocent children?

New Tribes Mission: Do not tell me you care about children. Do not proclaim to your supporters that you are concerned about adult MKs who experienced abuse in the mission.

Not when your so-called "independent" investigations drag on for years.

Not when completed investigations result in no consequences to evil doers.

Not when you keep paying thousands of dollars in attorney fees to fight lawsuits that wouldn't have been filed in the first place, if only MKs had felt compassion from you, rather than defensiveness.

Don't tell me you care. Words mean nothing. Nothing at all.

If Boz is correct in his recent radio interview. There is a high probability that Scott Kennell will have far more victims than he has admitted too.
It is in Scott Kennell's and NTM's best interests to admit to only a minimum of victims, but look at the track record of some of NTMs other monsters and how they only initially admitted to one or two minor incidents of sexual molestation, then the whole horror of what they had done dribbled out bit by bit.

Unfortunately for Scott Kennell, he is now in a place where what he knows and has done will be extracted expertly and those who were around him will be under scrutiny.

But even with all this knowledge and evidence of the monsters of the past emerging, what do we have? Very little compassion (with one or two exceptions that should be acknowledged), a tiny bit of lip service, but then business as usual.

I turned 50 the other day. I'm still waiting for my parents to ask me what happened to me as an MK and if I am o.k. With one obvious exception, Tribers and ex Tribers are not concerned about nor asked how I am doing. They are very interested in knowing how much I know and what I am doing about what I know, but for my welfare, there is little concern.
So by extrapolation, if Bemused with his nearly 3000 posts and high profile as an MK with all the letters that have been written and the contacts made, is not even asked by his own parents about the past and has had very few Tribers and ex Tribers show any concern for him, then what are the chances of lesser known MKs who just disappeared off the radar screen being compassionately considered, found and offered help?

Raz, my friend, you are spot on. This is a mission that does not care, even about it's own children. Therefore it is now an organisation that should close down before it does any more harm.

Spot on you two. It's just one coverup after another. But it won't go on for much longer, because the talk about town is getting louder and there is no rock big enough to hide under.

The handling of this arrest by NTM is disgraceful, what they didn't even release the name to their own members!!!!! And their members probably didn't even think to ask, oh my, this is cult mentality now isn't it.

If you are a good person and still in NTM, get out while you still can walk out. Stay much longer and you will get sucked under and when you bob up from the depths, there will be a shortage of lifeboats and a lot of people wanting to ask you questions. The vultures and the media will be circling to pick over the remains and they won't care what reputations are ruined.
Get out, before it is to late!!!!!!!

In regards to Bemused and Raz's observations that I posted immediately above, I have to say your statements are sad but true.

I left ntm due to personal reasons over two years ago. About six months ago I began reading the posts and threads on this forum and was sickened to think of the years I dedicated to such a sick organization. It really is terrible to read all this. Many times I thought I was not good enough to have stayed in ntm, but now I praise God I am out of a group who takes the lives of mk's so lightly. I am grateful to be free from ntm as I really believe in my heart of hearts that ntm doesn't care about the damaged lives. None of them write anything on here shocks me, although maybe none of them read this. Lawsuits continue to go on fighting to hold on to their money rather than helping mk's whose lives are damaged more than words can say. I know Bemused is right too. He has found some healing and speaks out. How many mk's are out there who are too hurt to speak? It must be so frustrating and I really am sorry.

If ntm hasn't released Scott Kennell's name to other ntm members that just proves they have not changed. Brasil is an enormous field and as a consultant how many places did Scott travel? How many people's children did he come in contact with? Now it makes sense why my closest friend who is still in ntm never said anything when I kept asking her what she thought about Scott???? I just assumed she would have found out sooner or later. Now I realize I should be more specific and say, " hey what do you think about Scott being arrested for child pornography????"

So are we saying ntm hasn't told the members YET???????? about Scott?

NowAware, it is my understanding that two weeks went by before Larry Brown sent out a general e-mail to current members. It was a vague letter that did not give the name of the man arrested. I imagine most NTMers followed Larry's lead and do not talk about this situation. If it seemed minimal to him, it must be a minimal matter, right?

I would guess that if we could poll mission members today, many of them would no longer even remember the e-mail they received in the middle of June.

Business as usual. Let nothing distract us from the work of the harvest.
