This e-mail went out to a select group of people on a particular mailing list. I am on the list. I received this update. Did you?

Also, no one has exactly been "caught" yet. An "investigation" is still ongoing. I am assuming this current mission member is considered innocent until the investigation is finished. I don't know his name, but if I did, I imagine I could find it on the members list on the NTM website.

What happens when the investigation is over is yet to be revealed.

Since NTM has been so quiet about the arrest of Scott Kennell, to the point of not even including his name in statements about his arrest which went out to their missionaries, I feel doubtful that the consequences to this person who is being investigated will be too earth-shaking, even if (when) Pii does confirm that he is an abuser.

I feel that too often more protection is given to the missionary perpetrators of child abuse than is given to victims. That seems to be the case in general, in Christian contexts: churches, organizations, etc. This bothers me a great deal.

MKs don't generate donations.
Missionaries do, even bad ones.

Every missionary is a valuable asset, that is needed somewhere.
MKs are a liability.

MKs who complain can be dismissed as lacking loyalty to the cause.
