Wait a minute! Australia is a pretty good place! Two guest rooms and private bath at 3R Toorale Road, Dubbo, N.S.W., what more could you want? Also the largest free range zoo in the Southern Hemisphere!

Free range zoo?

Does that mean that lions are in with antelope doing what they would normally do?

I can imagine myself free roaming around a "free range zoo" and it would be dangerous with all sorts of nasty things out to get me. Time for an analogy......sounds a bit like being left in a boarding school with free ranging paedophiles pretending to be missionaries in charge. Oh wait - that actually happened and people are still trying to cover it up.

Ouch.

That analogy sounds just about right, 22_years_ago.

A word of explanation: ;)

The term "free range zoo" refers to a modern cultural concept, where the indigenous animals of higher species are committed to complete integration of lesser species, so that all might facilitate a sense of multicultural well being and servitude in ways hitherto aforementioned under the auspices of the United Nations charter. Higher species shall be equal or greater, depending on a code of conduct that shall be entered into, not withstanding, ethnicity, colour or gender preference. All complaints about non compliance under local body by rules shall bear no relevance to any persons living or in other state of metamorphisis. While all care and attention is taken, it is not managements responsibility if loss of limb or life occurs while intergrating with species Crocolilius Tribus Downunderus. . .

Oh sorry, wrong document, that was the Crossview policy manual.

Umm "freerange zoo" is where one can wander with the less dangerous animals in a large secure enclosure. In New Zealand this is almost any animal and in Australia very few.

Hope that helps :P

Ok people, the free range zoo is optional. Much more to see, The old Dubbo Gaol, a prison in the middle of Dubbo dating back to the late 1800's. we are very close to the Parkes Telescope which televised images of the moon landing. Of course Pam's B & B is quite a nice place to stay (no charge of course). Full stop.

So no doubt you are wondering what happens in Kiwiland in the middle of winter.

Well we go overseas to find a bit of sun. And where I hear you ask is Bemused, on his overseas trip.

France. Yes, thought I'd enter the Tour De France, figured I couldn't loose as Lance is not riding this year, due to a little problem. Alas it is against the rules for a dog to be on the back of a bike in the Tour De France. But we had a bit of fun anyway.
