Too true, alas there is child abuse across the religious plethera and also the secular world. But this is where I disagree with NTM who s infer in their statements that because child abuse occurs at a high level in normal society it can be expected to occur to some extent within their own.

No, no, no! The level of child abuse in NTM and any other mission that purports itself to be spreading the message of an all loving and caring God, should be exactly ZERO. The first person to commit the crime of abusing a child sexually should have been made such an example of that no one could have in anyway questioned exactly what NTM thought of the matter.
Instead we have the exact opposite. An organisation that has a massive scale of criminality trying to justify it, smooth over it, defend it with lawyers and now paying a high price for their stupidity. Including now having media coverage that is an expose of the dark side of their past and current history, with justifiable expectation that the future will not be child abuse free either.

Exactly. I like your stand! NTM, it seems you have just made null and void your mission when you cast the little ones to the side for what you SAY you believe while they are being abused. And then you HIRE attorneys to defend you? What god do you serve if you think you are right in this??? Or do you think of yourself as your god?? Because, surely, we do not serve the same god as you. OUR God starts with a CAPITAL "G", and he has "0" tolerance for this crime.

What amazes me is the altered sense of reality that many of NTM have. To some extent those who view the constant exposing of this scandal in forums such as this and in the media as a form of harrassment, are actually correct.
But if we didn't "harrass" would anything have been done to clean up the mess and worse still, would it still be going on in more volume than it probably is (given the arrest this month as evidence to back that supposition)?

Imagine if a child from Sanford was to wander down to the local mall and on the way was assaulted. When they got home, visibly distressed, the parents said, "look we don't want to make a big issue of this, it might effect our standing in the community and our valuable contribution to society, so lets just forgive the person who did this and anyway you were dressed a little provocatively so you must take some responsibility".
Totally unacceptable and unlikely to happen, but that is what we have been asked to accept and why I don't think the "harrassment" claim has validity. It is a seeking of justice, which is a noble cause.

Nothing will change unless this whole mess is exposed and cleaned up. It should have been dealt with quickly and truthfully decades ago, but it wasn't, so now it is being done by other interested groups and no doubt not to the liking of NTM. But they had their golden opportunity decades ago, missed it and will just have to get over the consequences of their inaction.

It is so strange to me that groups who call themselves Christian can not deal with sin. They say what they are in business for is to save the world from sin, but they can't acknowledge their own. I am glad we are seeing more and more exposure. Hope it will wake up those "good people" who are just doing their own job to evangelize the world thinking that is enough and ignore their own children living in the hell of abuse.

Ummmm, quite a few will argue that, including some very close to me. That is when they're not busy telling anyone who is still listening that there was no child abuse when they were in NTM and probably very little anywhere else in NTM and if per chance there was a little tiny bit of child abuse, it was the devil himself who was doing it, because . . . .

The arguement makes no sense, there should be zero tolerance for child abuse, just like there is in most civilised societies!
