An arrest of a NTM missionary from Brazil

Wow. Finally something is happening.

The NTM response.....(from the above link)

A New Tribe's spokeswoman said a note was distributed internally about Kennell's arrest.

The communication said in part, "While we are trying to confirm whether there is a connection between the accused's personal actions and our organization, we have put the accused on immediate leave."

Yes, I was especially impressed by that response.

It's about time!
The history of NTM abuse in the last 10 years (what is KNOWN)
Is also in the article/newscast.
How much they have left out!

Jeepers, NTM can move fast when they want. Can't find this person now on the find a missionary part of the NTM site......

Wish they could act more speedily on other fronts in the abuse saga that has engulfed them.

ntm goes along with the culture.
One's personal life has nothing to do with his work life.

What a disillusionment!
I think most of us are beyond being disillusioned by now.

I mean I Thess.

Personally I find this disturbing.

So much for the reassurances that this could not reoccur, the policies the updated manual and the media statements.

If this accused paedophile has been removed from NTMs website, that smacks of the same old same old. No mention of concern or compassion for the victims, just a cynical attempt to save face by some sort of disconnection between accused and the organisation that he worked for.

Nothing has really changed.
