The polls indicate that Julia Gillard will loose the election, and Tony Abbott will then become Prime Minister.

Given that scenario, it bodes well for the likes of victims and perpetrators of child abuse will be significantly more uncomfortable.

A slight delay is to be expected while the election is conducted, but no need for concern, it may even be a bonus.

This is excellent and very powerful. When do we ever hear a pastor/mission leader say, "We will have zero tolerance for child abuse"?

This article by Boz is rather lengthy, but it is so good, and well worth your time to read.

This is what we are up against, my friends. This culture that pervades churches and Christian organizations. Boz is right on. Preachers have all kinds of things to say, and post, and tweet about Boy Scouts policies, or liberal politicians, or abortion doctors, but when multiple victims of child abuse perpetrated within their own sacred walls come forward to expose the sin in their camp, the wagons are circled, the Bible buddies protect each other, and a great silence falls.

THIS IS WRONG. IT IS UNGODLY. IT IS DISGRACEFUL. IT IS PROFANE.

It is enormously complicated, with multiple allegations at multiple levels over multiple years, with multiple amendments."

Here is the response to this by someone who was the right hand man to the alleged cover up person--

This is not a tangled mess for the victims. They know what happen to them. They know how things were covered up. The assaults are well documented. They are clearly stated. Unfortunately, the ruling for dismissal prevented the on-going gathering of evidence in the civil suit. Now we must pray for the criminal investigations to prevail. We should also pray the FBI takes over the case in the future. That is the hope of the victims and their families."
