Good point, it does seem that he´s talking as one who arrived as a student. Maybe so - I actually carried bitterness for slights real or imagined from the student body and those thots sound familiar. HnH, you might want to pm your last message, there´s a chance he´d get it then, in case he doesn´t come back to the actual forum.

There was a cultural factor at Via too, some of us came from more "integrated" places and the "little america" shock was a bit traumatic when we arrived. This might have been a factor for him too. I just hope he comes back.

As for rambling, don´t we all....(we do, don´t we)? Hey, are the expression faces gone?

I would suggest that if anyone needs to disclose their identity to do so by pm so that the forgiveness can be personalized. Many of us do have a fairly good idea who others may be from hints, shared experiences, or what not. Again, if you are comfortable reaching out to that person and revealing your true identity . . .don't be afraid to pm that person.

It is one thing to say, "please forgive me" in the fora, where we are nameless and, in some cases, faceless. However, asking forgiveness, if forgiveness is needed, ought to be as "personal" as we can, in a virtual world, make it. Just a thought.

@ sun: since you directly asked for my forgiveness, I freely give it. As I do not know who you are, I cannot pair forgiveness with specific acts which you may or may not have done against me. The forgiveness is freely given nonetheless.

Hm, perhaps I should have called myself "Caught-in-the-Middle". I was a kid who, due to my family ties was harassed again and again, day in and day out. And yes, I hid my anger well for a very long time, even from myself. Sure, I have a bone to pick with NTM as much as anyone else (okay, maybe not *as* much). They screwed me and my family over, too. The first breath of fresh air I got, I ran for the hills and never looked back.

I’m very sorry, but I just can’t do this right now until I’ve talked to someone a bit more. This has been a pretty sudden rush of emotions for me. If you want to PM me, that’s fine. I just think it’s a tragedy that there are people on here crying for blood and “accountability” who refuse to come clean about what they themselves have done. Sorry if I’ve rocked the boat. Well, okay, not really.

publius - thanks, I don´t think we know eachother, should I say "knew", I believe we´re slightly acquainted now - everyone who knew me at via pretty much knows who I am on the forum, but I did want to make sure.

It´s hard to apologize personally on a forum where you don´ t know who the people on the forum are. That´s where a public apology has value, I think - where a lot of people know who the others are and you can specify who you feel you need forgiveness from. I was thinking HnH might want to pm her apology because I was afraid sitting duck wouldn´t come back and a pm should show up in his e-mail. Fortunately, he has shown up again and, SD, I hope you can find the right person to talk to. The rush of emotions for me took me by surprise too.

As for Via staff, I don´t know if many are reading this forum (hopefully so?) and I feel I can´t do more than apologize in general for what I think was happening at via among staffers and for the negligence on my part.

That being said, personal apologies when possible are the way to go, publius, I agree with you.
