Donor misuse might be a more applicable term, for those who are able to say "no" but don't. It is the same technique that a clever salesperson uses, but with a spiritual guilt component. If however the donor is not of cognitive ability to make sound judgement, i.e. they are elderly, this would be viewed as abuse. This is not an uncommon scenario and relatives of elderly donors are not happy to find that what they were assuming they would be inheriting in the will of the recently departed saint, has long ago been siphoned off into the pockets of someone else. If you are caught doing this as a member of the health profession, you are struck off and will face criminal charges, namely because it is classified as an abuse of trust of someone who is cognitively dependent on others.
