I know that I've been repeating myself and I apologize but I'm still burned up about the CSPN and all their subterfuge. When the GRACE investigation concluded we had already done the investigative work to some degree on the blog, with the stories and documentation. Who the abusers were was not a shock to us but the validation of spiritual and emotional abuse by a reputable Christian organization was greatly healing.

The lack of progress and NTM's response to the lawsuits is getting me all riled up again.

Bemused.... this is typical! It often happens that "no one" was responsible for controversial, debatable or just plain stupid actions, decisions, letters and articles.

NTM has pushed "plausible deniability" to the extreme. Amazingly, they can do it with a straight face.

In the case of "historical" sexual abuse of children, NTM makes sure we know it was historical - it isn't happening now, they want to assure us. Moreover, it happened under the former leadership; the present crowd's hands are clean. Hence they can "move to dismiss" charges against the present NTM with a clear conscience; after all, it was the "historical" NTM that did all those things....

I hate to keep repeating these things.
But the leadership style that "was" still "is."
People, as in adult miss. people, are still getting the ax for no good reason.
Except they are thinking people and people who live in the real world.
And I repeat: Some of these "new" leaders have been around for a LONG time in NTM.
Just in other capacities.
How did they get where they are now (high up) without being a part of the Group Think.
Answer: They didn't.
Well, the parallel thought breaks down in that sentence.
But I like the way it sounds.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but here goes.

I'm a nurse of 3 decades experience. It isn't in my job description to be nice, kind and caring. I'm technically responsible for not making any errors, commiting any crime while in uniform and fulfiling the endless paperwork requirements. But it sure makes the day nicer for my patients and colleagues if I am kind, nice and caring.

I'm also an MK, just like many people on this site and I've been dinged up by the experience. I suspect there are many who have been dinged up far worse than I have. So of course I have written to IHART several times and the one thing that is missing in the replies, is any feeling. I've never been asked am I o.k. or even how I'm coping. It's all to clinical, please send us the facts and we'll get back to you.

Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, making a molehill out of an ant farm, but I'd like to think that I'm being treated as a human not just part of the process, number 007 and a half with another story, just like number 37783 and number 49390. Or maybe it's because I'm a male and men don't have feelings, do they?
