When my errant dog attempted to murder the neighbours rabbit two nights ago, it became my problem. Leo is responsible for his behaviour and he committed a sin. But I am also responsible for his behaviour and the hole in the fence which he engineered. He exercised his free will and yielded to his predatory instincts, but due to our association and he being under my jursidiction, I to must face the consequences.

Likewise NTM is responsible for the people who operate under its jurisdiction. Like the poor rabbit, the victims didn't invite offenders into their lives to trespass against them. It wasn't the rabbit or the victims doing. So the rabbit has seen some justice; the hound is under house arrest for the time being and I'm short of a large box of chocolates, but at least I'm still on speaking terms with the neighbours.

So the message to NTM is, it happened under your jurisdiction, you are responsible. Get it sorted out so the whole neighbourhood can see that you are motivated to do so and before the ill feeling gets even worse. If you don't want to sort it out, then appoint someone who does. And remember the Dog Ranger will be on the Rabbits side!

I remember a section in the Grace Report that said NTM needed to evaluate its leadership structure, style and culture. What happen to that evaluation? It looks like status quo. I know you have talked about this ad nauseum but the organizational culture of NTM which is very powerful has not changed. It is still exclusive, arrogant and blind. They are still hanging on to this 1997 letter and they are not fooling me, anyway.

MK Teacher, I think that 1997 letter was a bit of Shakespeare, "Much Ado About Nothing." Like everything else from NTM, just empty words and empty promises. Can a leopard change its spots? Not if the leopard is NTM.

TAKE A LOOK AT JANE DOES CASE AND NTMS CALL FOR DISMISSAL OF THE CASE.....NOW PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE AND PERSONALIZE IT. THE HUGE NUMBER OF US (30+) WHO COULD HAVE BEEN FACING NTMS LAWYERS AND ON NTMS INSTRUCTION THEY WOULD HAVE STALLED, LIED, HIDDEN EVIDENCE AND CALLED FOR THE DISMISSAL OF OUR CASES. THE SCALE TO WHICH NTM ARE PREPARED TO LIE IS EQUAL TO THOSE 70'S,80'S,90'S DAYS.....BUT WORSE....NOW THEY ARE ALSO PAYING PEOPLE TO LIE FOR THEM. TRYING TO WASH THEIR HANDS OF US AND PASS THE BUCK TO THEIR LAWYERS(figuratively and literally). IN GODS EYES OUR CASES STOP WITH NTM, AS MUCH AS THEY KEEP WASHING THEIR HANDS AND INSTRUCTING LAWYERS, PAYING LIP SERVICE AND DUCKING FOR COVER......THEY ARE THE ONES OBSTRUCTING THE COURSE OF JUSTICE.

IT MAKES ME WILD....YOU HAVE NO SHAME NTM. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!

And anyone got a word from Australia yet, or is poor old Bemused still waiting and waiting and waiting.
They must be sitting on something big if they can't even say a thing. Bit of a cover up perhaps?

I think they are applying the principle. If you keep your mouth shut, people may think you're stupid, but if you open your mouth, they'll know you are.
Don't worry, I know what I need to know, just a few matters that could be tidied up a bit better.

Do you want NTM to be held accountable, too?

It is no good hiding behind "it was a whole different set of leaders that did this." Even if that were true, which it isn't, it ignores the fact that they were acting on behalf of New Tribes Mission, Inc. When they purchased land for and in the name of the mission, it was not THEY who did it, but NTM. When they purchased equipment for and in the name of NTM, it was not THEY who did it, but NTM. When they took out loans for and in the name of NTM, it was not THEY who did it, but NTM.

NTM is responsible for the actions of their employees, even if those employees also happened to be leaders at that time. Every single leader in NTM could resign today and NTM would still exist, still own property, still have contractual obligations and still be guilty of complicity to hide these crimes.

For the Lord's sake, of course.

I no longer take anything personally on this website I'm here because I want to stay connected and yes because I care. It is my expectation to be disagreed with and challenged on what I say that's fine by me I'd rather be having some dialogue than have nothing. I can't say anything specific but I learned something interesting today that shed some light on what has been happening with the lawsuits. As I said before I have hope in God that there can be a mutual settlement. I try to read the blog at least once a week. Thank you to Kari and Bonnie for starting this blog. Thank you Raz and everyone who writes on this blog. I can see how it is helping us all through this difficult time.
