I, for one, appreciate that you have continued to care about these issues.

Did anyone else notice that the latest tear-stained, heart-wrenching repentant letter from NTM came out shortly after Judge Schoonover overruled "DEFT'S OBJECTIONS TO PLTF'S 1ST SET OF INTERROGATORIES & 1ST SET OF REQ/ PRODUCTION"? I just love coincidences.

NTM knows that they can get away just saying "sorry" to their supporters: "Oops. Sorry. We were so busy preaching the gospel to lost souls that we didn't really pay enough attention to sexual predators in our employ. We'll do better in the future. We've confessed our sins and are resting in God's forgiveness." Check books will open, blessings will flow.

People in their employ will roll their eyes, and get on with the work. They will be ashamed of what happened, of course. They will be vigilant; can't have that happening again. But, they are safe, among "family" and a little unsure of what they would do if they "left." (I speak from experience; I bear in my psyche the scars of my journey. Let no man mock me!)

In court, these "sins" will be called "crimes" and carry real world consequences. "Sorry" doesn't cut it.

You really can't blame them for waging a PR campaign to keep the ship afloat. Not if the truth doesn't matter, I mean.

How is the existence of NTM going to be helpful in prosecuting the pedophiles? I cannot figure that one out. Please to explain.

I am not for sure it is going to be difficult to prosecute pedophiles as it appears Dr. Donn William Ketcham might just go to gaol. He just signed over his medical license (no contest) in December and surrendered them in late February and from what I know it isn't over yet. Check out WOOD TV8 of Allendale, Michigan or bangladeshmksspeak. Full stop.

As I said I still have hope that NTM and abuse victims can work together to prosecute the pedophiles. I know most of you victims think that is impossible but I believe God can make it happen. If the only thing that will give you closure is NTM shutting down for good then that is what it is. I personally believe that the victims and NTM can come to a mutual settlement and move on. It will take time but I believe reconciliation is possible. I think NTM needs to continue to work on being the one to humble themselves, being the one to move first in the right direction. If all that NTM is doing to change and be more sensitive and accountable in the area of child protection and all areas is false I think God will indeed remove them. I continue to pray for genuine change in NTM and if they don't change that they will be closed down.

I'm sure NTM and victims can work together, it's just a matter of motivation. The first part of the equation is easy, do victims want to see paedophiles brought to justice? Well the ones on this site certainly do, that's why we are here day after day. As for the other side of the equation, does NTM want to see paedophiles brought to justice, that is more complicated. There are those who think it is all to long ago and not worth bothering with, some who still think it never happened and to be fair some who genuinely wish to sort this mess out and get justice served. It is a matter of putting the last sector of NTM at the forefront and getting on with the job. This is alas an internal decision, which can be only slightly influenced by public opinion.
As for time, the clock is ticking faster and faster, some of those who should have been jailed are now buried, others are hoping to get their glowing eulogies heard before the truth about them comes out.
The problem is obvious, the solution not that easy, but it wasn't the victims who caused this mess, but the time is now to get this sorted.
