These are good points. Any suggestions as to the guidelines that should be in place before names are posted? Corroboration by more than one victim? Documentation on the abuser? Perhaps the story of abuse needs to be shared.

My suggestion would be that if someone is going to name someone else as an abuser, they should have someone to corroborate their story, and/or have proof.
Or, if you don't have corroboration because you are the first person to come forward, maybe tell the story of abuse and use your real first name. I don't think that it can be called slander if you do this.

Perhaps a middle road can be taken. If I acuse someone of abusing me, there are unlikely to be any witnesses (paedophiles don't work in public), but what there is bound to be is other people who were also abused by the same person.
So lets say I put my story up on a thread (and probably it is a good idea to have a tread dedicated to this), then someone else has an account of the same person commiting an act, then that could be considered independent coroboration and to the list the name goes.

Just a thought.
