That's right, it was Plumpton. No sorry it wasn't you, would have been interesting if it was though. We live in Dubbo now. They were a very good Christian young couple that I hope with all my heart they knew nothing about any kind of child abuse connected with NTM at the time. They were in Australia in the early 80's and went back to New Zealand some years later. They started their family when they were with us. We have visited them in New Zealand and they are not connected with NTM at all now. Sorry this sounds a bit disjointed, just got out of the hospital in Sydney and catching up on all these blogs and forums exposing the sin of these mission board/agencies. I am impressed that this forum is keeping up a momentum that I don't see on the other ones, of course NTM has the larger amount of pedophiles that we know of than the other groups, larger amount of pedophiles equals larger amount of victims. How sad this is. Full stop.

How is the appointment of investigators going? Just wondering what will happen to the offenders when the investigation is complete, as it appears under U.S. law they cannot be prosecuted for offending outside of U.S. boarders. I realise other countries are involved and New Zealand has already jailed one of their offenders.
Do I make a written statement, have an interview (in which case I would prefer face to face, not by telephone) or answer a questionaire?

The appointment of investigators is coming along. I think I have enough to start another investigation. I don’t know what will happen to the offenders – that will come from a recommendations team once the investigations are completed.

You can make a written statement and will be interviewed. The interview can happen face to face. You can make your report to me (written or face to face) and it will be passed on to the investigators who will probably want to talk to you again.

This is a HUGELY important sentence, my friends.

It is my understanding that the assignment NTM is paying Pat Hendrix to do is to assemble teams of investigators, who will gather information about world-wide child abuse in NTM.

That is the purpose of the investigation teams: TO GATHER INFORMATION.

What will happen to that information after it has been gathered? What will happen to the child molesters, rapers, abusers, beaters, incesters, and spiritual and emotional tyrants who terrorized children? What will happen to other NTM missionaries -- particularly those given the responsibility of oversight and leadership -- who turned a blind eye and a deaf ear, or who covered up, concealed, denied or in other ways enabled the abuse to continue, or go unreported, or unpenalized?

Pat doesn't know.

Evidently NTM will be selecting a team of as-yet-unknown persons who will then make recommendations. Back to NTM. About what should be done next.

At which time, I would surmise, NTM will make a decision as to whether or not they are going to implement any of the recommendations.

I must say that this Merry-Go-Round approach is despicable.
And how do you think your confidential stories will be handled?
How will they be USED?
I don't want to think about it.
Your stories should be in reliable hands such as GRACE.
Looking back, what they came up with in 1 year is incredible.
They absolutely nailed it.
Could it be because they were honest, people of integrity?
And qualified?
We have heard from ntm-ers that ntm says they are not using GRACE anymore because GRACE did not do the investigation right. (And these ntm-ers believe that!)

“The process is that the investigative team will collect the facts and write a report. The report will go to the recommendations team. The team will NOT have any NTM members on it. The team will consist of 2-3 survivors recommended by the survivors, 1-2 of the investigators and myself and NTM WILL NOT BE NAMING THE PEOPLE TO SERVE ON THE TEAM. After the recommendations team finishes then their report goes to NTM along with the recommendations.
