Interesting discussion.
It would also be interesting to know what ntm approves these days.
In former days, part of the control was casting any outside help in a bad light.
Or outside education.

However, I don't believe that a main theme on this blog is individual views on
politics, spirituality, religion or counseling or.........?
If some want to discuss these, they do.
What if some choose not to?
How fast will the fly swatter come down on them? :o
You understand a fear here. :D
I believe many different people can be supportive and encouraging
Despite their individual beliefs on a variety of subjects.
Am I off here?
That does not preclude a discussion of the pros and cons of an issue.

Oh I keep thinking of things!
I always wondered what Oren Green and Gary Lee were doing bec we were concerned about people getting help with their concerns and problems. We are all human and we all have them!
Once I asked some of our senior leaders who had taken a course with them what they had learned. They seemed clueless. Or were not interested in learning anything new. I'm sure it had to be frustrating for Oren and Gary. We did hear that they helped some people. But that does not sound like best practice to keep everyone on campus in the dark about who was living there!
In many ways, ntm lived in the dark ages and wanted to keep us all there.
Living remotely didn't mean we had to stop learning and growing......We learned much later from talking to folks from other orgs that had a different mentality.
