Yes, those anniversaries are remembered ... by the victim.

The abuser, in some cases that I have close knowledge of, claims to not even remember at all.

This is not a literal exercise, ay? I'm trying to foget the abuse, not mark anniversaries and send cards to people who I loathe for what they have done!

Let the devil send a welcome card, for every child abuser and may he personally add it to the millstone! May the flames of hell sear into their hardened hearts the name of every child they beat, raped and molested! And may God in heaven close his ears to their pathetic pleas for mercy, just as so many of us had to cope with closed ears and eyes!

I think the anniversary card idea was inspired by one of our friends who posted on Facebook about it being 29 years since one of the hardest days of her life. Some do remember specific days. Others remember specific ages, or grade levels.

The memories that torment ... and they only torment the victim. Not the abuser. That is what really gets to me. I do wish those abusers were tormented. Instead of getting away with their vile deeds and being able to maintain their fake front of innocence.

God knows. Their evil is not hidden from him.
